Psychodelphia versus Ian Smith. The Roundhouse, Londra.

“Venerdì 29 Novembre 1966 i Pink Floyd, un nuovo gruppo londinese, si sono avventurati nel loro primo happening – una pop dance ricca di effetti psichedelici in un mix di forme espressive – qualsiasi esso sia! Eccellenti le diapositive, coloratissime paurose grottesche suggestive: il viaggio della band nei suoi spaziali costituisce un’interessante promessa per il futuro. Sfortunatamente nella fredda All Saints Hall lo show è parso appiattito mentre sabato alla Chalk Farm’s Ronundhouse, davanti a migliaia di persone, le cose sono andate meglio. I Floyd devono scrivere più canzoni originali. Le versioni psichedeliche di Louie Louie non fanno per loro ma se riusciranno a coniugare l’attitudine per l’elettronica con alcune canzoni melodiche, lasciando da parte i pezzi R&B, potranno far parlare di sé nel prossimo futuro.” (NME)
